The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan is pleased to announce an open competition for assistance awards through this Request for Proposals (RFP). PAS Kabul invites all eligible organizations to submit a proposal to produce eight 48-minute films outlining daily life in ten of Afghanistan’s cities and provinces, and a corresponding radio series. The U.S.

government will fund up to $400,000 for the entire series. Funding is to include broadcast costs for TV and radio. Preference will be given to proposals that will produce a series in both Dari and Pashto.To build public awareness of the improvement in living conditions in Afghanistan in the past decade and to further a sense of national identity across regions of Afghanistan, this RFP solicits a series of films that document daily life in eight cities and provinces in Afghanistan. The films should include interviews with average Afghans, as well as local and provincial officials, businessmen, educators, etc.

The films should provide information about the cultural heritage of each city or province and address how the province has become more secure and prosperous.
