Full Description
The objective is to continue working with the Plateau Restoration who can mobilize and utilize a large volunteer pool of students and interested groups to assist with fuels reduction, vegetative restoration, outdoor education and recreational development activities. The intent is to identify various resource management and restoration projects on public lands throughout the Utah BLM Canyon Country Fire Zone (Price, Moab and Monticello Field Offices). Projects may include, but are not limited to: Hazardous fuels removal, fire pre-suppression, barrier installations, riparian improvements, fencing repair and installation, earth excavations/fillings, enclosures, planting, seeding, weed eradication, sediment control, slope restoration, trail improvements, improvements to public information areas and campgrounds and water impoundments. Any and all work shall be of a nature that will assist in training, developing and educating selected young adults in the principles and practices of resource management and conservation.
