Consulate General Kolkata is a major stakeholder in anti-Trafficking in Persons (TIP) efforts in East India. The Consulate’s anti-TIP conclaves – the seventh of which was held in April 2018 – have evolved into important events on the regional anti-TIP calendar. The goals of the conclaves are to enhance cooperation among stakeholders, share best practices on anti-TIP policy, and boost public engagement on TIP issues. The primary goal of this funding opportunity is to: encourage intra- and interstate stakeholder collaboration to strengthen the fight against human trafficking The recipient organization will implement three workshops, one each in Patna, Ranchi, and Guwahati, in order to share best practices of the Swayamsiddha program, culminating in a final conclave in Kolkata that will encourage intra- and interstate stakeholder collaboration to bolster human trafficking prevention efforts.
