CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a funding opportunity announcement entitled, “Cooperative Agreement Program for the National Academic Centers of Excellence in Youth Violence Prevention (U01). Approximately $5.2 million will be available in fiscal year 2010 to fund up to four awards. The purpose of this PA is to establish National Academic Centers of Excellence in Youth Violence Prevention (ACEs). The specific objective of this announcement is to support Academic Centers of Excellence to reduce youth violence in one defined high–risk community by implementing and evaluating a multifaceted, evidence-based approach to prevent perpetration of youth violence.For complete program details, please see the full announcement on the website at http://www.grants.gov.
