Full Description

This is an announcement for issuing a single source financial assistance award, not to exceed five years, to the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission (MVPC, Cooperator). The intent of the award is to provide funding to expand an existing project funded through two Sandy resiliency projects: #43, "Restoring resiliency to the Great Marsh; Parker River NWR, MA" and NFWF's Hurricane Sandy Coastal Resiliency Competitive Grant Project "Coastal Resiliency Planning and Ecosystem Enhancement for northeastern Massachusetts". The previously awarded Sandy project provided $608,000 to develop a comprehensive hydrodynamic model for the Great Marsh ecosystem.
