CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a funding opportunity announcement entitled, “Developing Sustainable Influenza Surveillance Networks and Response to Avian and Pandemic Influenza by National Health Authorities outside the United States”. Approximately $12,000,000 will be available in fiscal year 2009 to fund eight awards. The purpose of the program is to develop international capacity to prepare for, detect, and respond to an influenza pandemic.
