Full Description

The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) intends to issue a cooperative agreement to California Department of Water Resources under the authority of Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) 15.512, Public Law 102-575, Central Valley Project Improvement Act, Title XXXIV, Section 3406 (b)(1) and Section 3407(e). Estimated total amount of agreement is $6,782,324.08. Reclamation is providing $4,800,000.00 in Fiscal Year 2017. The objectives of the project are to: 1) Provide enhanced fish passage opportunities for federally listed and State-listed salmonids and green sturgeon during and immediately following a Fremont Weir overtopping event; and 2) Reduce fish stranding in the Fremont Weir Wildlife area; and 3) Improve fish passage at agricultural road crossings in Tule Canal.
