Full Description

Subject to the availability of FY 2009 funds, FNS is soliciting applications for Administrative Review and Training (ART) Grants as authorized by public law 108-265. A total of $16,000,000 is available to state agencies (SAs). The grant funds will be available only to the 57 state agencies that administer the Child Nutrition Programs for the purpose of identifying, reviewing, and training local educational agencies that have demonstrated a high level of, or a high risk for, administrative error. This year, two types of ART grants will be awarded: Method I grants are for applicants who are seeking funding to conduct additional administrative reviews required under Section 22 of the NSLA: Method II grants are for applicants who are seeking funding for special projects via a concept paper.

THIS OPPORTUNITY IS FOR METHOD I GRANTS ONLY. The Method II grant opportunity is posted separately. SAs may apply for one or both methods. If applying for both, separate applications must be submitted.
