The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) announces the availability of Commercial Driver’s License Program Improvement (CDLPI) grant funding as authorized by the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU). This act establishes the priority of bringing States into compliance with the requirements of 49 CFR Parts 383 and 384, and also generally improving the Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) program across the nation.

The FMCSA will award up to $20,000,000 to State agencies under this grant announcement (subject to the availability of funds).
