This FOA is modified to extend the application due date to Friday, July 17, 2015. Through this announcement, the Administration for Children and Families solicits applications from public or private non-profit organizations, including community-based and faith-based organizations, or for-profit organizations that seek to provide a high-quality, comprehensive birth-to-five program incorporating both Head Start and Early Head Start funding, or to provide for Head Start only or Early Head Start only, to children and families residing in the Municipalities of Loiza, Rio Grande, Luquillo, Canovanas, Farjardo, Ceiba, and Naguabo, Puerto Rico. Funds in the amount of $16,592,435 annually will be available to provide Head Start and/or Early Head Start program services to eligible children and their families. The Office of Head Start (OHS) plans to host a community forum in the service area to provide an opportunity for interested applicants to learn more about the Funding Opportunity Announcement and the competitive grant process.
