This notice announces the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) intent to fund the Block Grant, Preventive Health and Health Services applications with Prevention and Public Health Funds (PPHF) in Federal Fiscal Year 2016 as directed by the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2014.The total approximate funding will be $146,277,574.00 financed solely by 2016 PPHF. The Prevention and Public Health Fund was established by Section 4002 in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) to support investments in prevention, wellness, and public health services. PPHF is administered through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Office of the Secretary, who transfers amounts in the fund to accounts within The Department of Health and Human Services.
