CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a funding opportunity announcement entitled, “Program to Expand State Public health Laboratory Capacity for Newborn Bloodspot Screening (U01)” Approximately $1,000,000 will be available in fiscal year 2009 to fund 2 awards. The purpose of this announcement is to develop and refine new test methods for newborn bloodspot screening for conditions that are not currently on the American College of Medical Genetics recommended primary and secondary panels.
