The United Sates Agency for International Development in Dhaka, Bangladesh seeks applications for a Cooperative Agreement from qualified organizations to implement a project entitled “Promoting Talent Through Early Education (PROTEEVA)" in Bangladesh “. Through this award, USAID/Bangladesh seeks to prepare children for school, as well as prepare the schools for the children. This school readiness program will provide opportunities for five year olds by providing one year of pre-primary school education and after school educational activities for pre-school and primary school students. The project will also work with the teachers and stakeholders of primary education at the community and national levels to ensure greater accountability and adaptation of best Early Childhood and Development (ECD) practices at the policy planning level.
This program is a follow-on activity to USAID’s current Early Learning for School Success (SUCCEED) program. The expected duration of the project is five years¸ depending on performance and availability of funding. The total two year cost of the project is estimated to be approximately $12,000,000 to $14,200,000.
