Full Description
This project will help protect public resources and evaluate the effects of land use permitting by improving our understanding of ungulate habitat use and movements for species that are used by rural Alaskans for subsistence. The project will analyze existing data on 3 species of ungulates that inhabit the northeastern-most management area of the Central Yukon Field Office, Fairbanks, AK, the Utility Corridor Management Area. Specifically, the successful cooperator will compile and analyze existing VHF and GPS radio telemetry location data on moose, caribou and Dall's sheep.
