USAID, the Government of Norway, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Grand Challenges Canada, and The World Bank invites organizations to respond to Saving Lives at Birth: A Grand Challenge for Development (Round II) Draft. This draft describes this Challenge targeting maternal and neonatal health and the types of activities covered; describes funding available and the process and requirements for submitting applications; explains criteria for evaluating applications; and refers prospective applicants to relevant documentation on the internet. Organizations are strongly encouraged to provide feedback on ways to improve the quality of this procurement. The feedback can focus on any aspects of the draft.
Feedback can come in form of questions, suggestions, and ideas.Saving Lives at Birth Challenge anticipates awarding up to 30 grants as a result of the final RFA, with a maximum of $13 million USD. To this end, USAID is seeking input from eligible institutions as described in Section III of the draft.This Draft RFA and any future amendments can be downloaded from http://www.grants.gov. Organizations that are unable to retrieve the Draft RFA from the Internet can request an electronic copy by email.
