Full Description
The purpose of this funding opportunity announcement (FOA) is to enable local Ethiopian universities to contribute to strengthening and improving the quality of HIV/AIDS services in the country. This will be done through building the capacity of the universities to provide quality medical pre- service education, establishment of in-service training units and comprehensive HIV service delivery at the teaching/referral hospitals, clinics, and confidential commercial sex worker clinics in select cases. This FOA intends to ensure continuity of PEPFAR support for university hospitals and clinics at Addis Ababa, Hawassa, Jimma and Mekelle Universities. The universities will support and collaborate with their respective Regional Health Bureaus (RHBs), the Network of Networks of HIV Positives (NEP+), and other stakeholders in the implementation of HIV/AIDS related activities.
This award targets the university community at large and the catchment area populations that use the services provided by the university teaching hospitals and clinics.
