Full Description

OVC will make up $7 million available; of which at least $5 million must be directed to the competitive selection of at least six law enforcement agency demonstration sites in small, medium and large population areas (to be defined by the applicant). The additional funding should be directed to two areas: (1) oversight, administration and technical assistance for the demonstration sites that includes convening of grantee meetings and the development and dissemination of a practical resource guide or compendium at the end of the project; and (2) Up to $500,000 to provide rapid response technical assistance and other resources to other law enforcement agencies and their communities in the aftermath of a law enforcement-involved shooting/high-profile incident.
