CDC’s Procurement and Grants Office has published a funding opportunity announcement entitled, “World Health Organization (WHO): Addressing Emerging Infectious Diseases and the International Health Regulations”. Approximately $50,000,000will be available in fiscal year 2009 to fund one award. The purpose of the program is to assist the World Health Organization (WHO), the lead health agency of the United Nations, in their implementation of a coordinated plan to assist national governments and regional authorities to address emerging infectious diseases and other public health threats.
